Sketchcrawl fué un movimiento iniciado hace como dos años por el artista conceptual de Pixar, Enrico Casarosa. Se trata de salir a la calle todo un día a dibujar todo lo que te llame la atención, ya sean personas, lugares, animales, monumentos ¡e incluso la comida que comes durante ése día! Los medios para trabajar son tu humilde libreta de dibujo, lápices, gomas, colores, pinceles, acuarelas, en fin, con lo que mejor te acomodes. Yo lo he hecho en un par de ocasiones y lo recomiendo muchísimo, ya que es un fantástico ejercicio para el cuerpo, la mente y el alma.

Todos los sketchcrawlers se ponen de acuerdo en el foro oficial y es allí donde se recopilan las fotos y dibujos del evento. No importa si eres artista o no, puedes ir solo o acompañado de tus amigos, de igual forma te vas a divertir. Por cierto, ése dibujo lo hizo Enrico, no yo. Si quieres saber cómo fué que empezó todo este asunto ve corriendo a ver éste enlace y citando a Enrico en sus propias palabras:

This is a colaboration I made for the latin version of NICK magazine last month and everything started in a silly way via messenger:

~Charecua: Hey Trucu, if you need help with coloring or something you can ask me anytime...
~Trucas: Deal. I gotta do a strip for NICK. Wanna try doing the script?
~Charecua: Pfffft, piece of cake...

12 hours later:

~Charecua: TTATT Gaaaaahh, my mind is blank!
~Dr-Stain: Get out, you're worthless! How about making a strip where monsters gather to tell horror tales?
~Charecua: I have an idea! How about making a strip where monsters gather to tell horror tales?

Bwahahahaa! Oh my God, my little ego jumped high to the sky! He actually framed one of my prints! I must admit that felt so good... gracias loco, eres lo máximo.

私は自分の犬愛

A dog it's not just a pet, it's an unpaid soulmate. Dogs love it's silent and loyal. We hardly give the half of all the fun stuff they offer to us... I regret so much the few ocassions I denied my doggie from her daily cuddles, just because I didn't have time. That was cruel. I am sorry. It's been almost three years since Layla, my beautiful rottie passed away and I still think about that crazy girl sometimes. Be good to your dog, play with him, touch him, teach him and you'll be the world to him.

En la próxima Veracon de Invierno, los días 6 y 7 de diciembre estaré vendiendo sketchcards de 7 x 9 cm. pintadas a mano con marcador o acuarelas. También es posible que esté vendiendo preciosas bufandas de las cuatro casas de Hogwarts a $200 pesos c/u tejidas por mí y mi mamita. ¿Quién dice yo? ACEPTO COMISIONES DESDE AHORA.

$15 o $20 pesos dependiendo la dificultad.

Sketchcards entintadas y con grises:
$25, $30 o más dependiendo la dificultad.

Estos chicos se ven si acaso 20 veces mejor en persona ¡lo juro! Usé acuarelas de las que tienen polvito dorado y cuando les da la luz brillan de pocamadre... che scanner.
